Coaching our Future Leaders

Breon offers strategic solutions for reducing prevalent youth problems and building lifelong learning and growth.

For decades, we’ve taken a remedial approach to developing our children, focusing exclusively on what’s wrong, while leaving out the other crucial part of the equation: recognizing and nurturing what’s right.

Her research from the University of Pennsylvania focuses on just that – constructive approaches that promote genuine optimism and confidence in our children while warding off depression and anxiety that threaten to haunt them for life.

Did you know?

In their desire for academic excellence, many well-meaning parents and educators make the mistake of not giving equal emphasis to social and emotional development. A lack of these all-important skills can impact a child’s life forever.

  • Only 42% of children believe they can achieve their goals
  • The average age for the first signs of depression is now 14; half a century ago, it was closer to 30
  • Only 4 in 10 youth are ready for college, work and life

A Plan for Overcoming Real-World Struggles

Now, more than ever, we have a clear understanding of the essential tools our teens need to survive and thrive on their own. Instilling these invaluable life assets at the right time is sure to position children for a lifetime of learning, happiness and success.

What Clients are Saying

Reluctant Young Man Gains Strength from First Meeting

My son completed his first year of college with a lifetime of fun memories – and a grade point average so low that we decided he was not yet ready to pursue higher education. Several months after his college friends had returned to school, he was discouraged, defensive and lacking direction.

Even so, he resisted talking with Breon (or anyone else) about steps he could take to move forward. In his mind, ‘life coach’ was just another term for counselor, and he wanted nothing to do with that. Once he reluctantly agreed to a meeting with Breon, I recall him walking out the door with a sullen attitude, still asking "Well, what exactly is she going to do?"

Because their discussions were private, I had resolved not to bombard my son with questions. Turns out, I didn’t have to. After just one coaching session, he returned home energized and optimistic, and eager to share the short-term goals he had set. Later, as he was leaving the house to meet friends, he turned to give me a kiss and said, "Thanks for letting me meet with Breon." D.S.
